BR's SPEED KILLS ON WORLD SCREENS IN JAN.A boat-racing film starring John Travolta, produced and co-financed by Blue Rider, splashes onto world movie screens in January. It dramatizes the true story of speedboat racer Don Aronow, and will appear on January 16th on movie screens in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Cleveland, Tampa, Spokane, Asia, Europe, and Latin America.
Filmed last summer in Puerto Rico, it was directed by Jody Scurfield and written by David Aaron Cohen (Friday Night Lights) and John Leussenhop (Texas Chainsaw 3D).

The film co-stars Matthew Modine, Katheryn Winnick, and Jennifer Esposito.

A big-game hunter for zoos who books passage on a freighter with exotic and deadly animals along with a political assassin being extradited to the U.S in secret. Two days into the journey, the assassin escapes and releases the captive animals. Filming now in Puerto Rico.
New Blue Rider Film on NetflixTHE LAST THING HE WANTED is an upcoming Netflix film that Blue Rider is helping produce. It stars Anne Hathaway, Willem Dafoe and Ben Affleck and is directed and co-written by Dee Rees, who helmed the popular film MUDHONEY. Based on a Joan Didion novel, it's the tale of a woman who becomes an arms dealer. It was filmed last summer in Puerto Rico and will come out soon. Marco Villalobos co-scripts.
Blue Rider Aids Puerto Rico Fundraising EffortBlue Rider has joined other film companies in CINE.org’s significant Puerto Rico Film Friends Relief, which so far has raised a lot of money for the hurricane –battered island. CINE 1999 Golden Eagle recipient, Walter Josten, and Luillo Ruiz of Pimienta Films have assembled an extended motion picture family via six major feature films on the island including: REPLICAS starring Keanu Reeves; IMPRISONED with Laurence Fishburne, Juan Pablo Raba, Juana Acosta and Edward James Olmos; CIGARETTE headlined by John Travolta; ANA featuring Andy Garcia, Dafne Keen, and Jeanne Tripplehorn; DRIVEN with Jason Sudeikis, Lee Pace, Corey Stoll, and Judy Greer; and PRIMAL with Nicolas Cage.
Garcia and Travolta have been especially instrumental in raising funds for Puerto Rico. Six months after the hurricanes, which killed 60 people, 16% of the island--200,000 homes and businesses--still lack electricity. This is the worst storm to hit Puerto Rico in 89 years.

Luillo Ruiz of Pimiento Film Co. is a producer of the film.
Paul Kampf Kampf (Best Fake Friends) is a producer and directing from his own script, described as a revenge thriller wrapped around a love story with the question of the sacrifices made for love.
Blue Rider Produces, Helps Finance “Birth of the Dragon”Set in 1960s San Francisco, Birth of the Dragon is an action drama inspired by Bruce Lee kung fu movie and deals with his legendary 1964 battle with kung fu master Wong Jack Man. It is directed by George Nolfi (writer of The Bourne Ultimatum and Ocean’s Twelve; director of Adjustment Bureau ) and written by Christopher Wilkinson and Stephen J. Rivele (Oscar nominated for Oliver Stone’s Nixon). Walter Josten is co-executive producer, and Blue Rider provided tax credit financing.
Cinematography on Birth of the Dragon is by Amir Mokri (32 credits including The Joy Luck Club, Man of Steel and Fast & Furious. The film was a hit at the Toronto Film Festival.
